So How do I plan your childs day.

All children deserve the best start in life. High-quality early years education is valuable to help them thrive and be healthy and happy. When I plan a curriculum I set up a positive culture and environment that develops the whole child, so they can learn in a holistic way, which means they are developing in all aspects and areas of learning.

I will do this by gatheing information from parents, carers and other settings.

Observations and talking to your child.

Assesing your childs stage of development using Development Matters, I will form their next steps from what they can do, and what I want them to learn.

My planning will cover all 7 arears of development particularly concentrating on the prime areas

  • Communication and Language

  • Physical Development

  • Personal, Social and Emotional Development

The prime areas lay the foundations upon which all further learning can develop. The prime areas are also extremely important for ‘igniting children’s curiosity and enthusiasm for learning, forming relationships and thriving.

I heavily invest in resources for both indoor and outdoor of the setting, I also get resources and ideas from Twinkl which gives ideas age and developmental appropriate.

We do use the Bus regularly  to travel on which I feel the children really do enjoy  and in the summer we would occasionally use the train.

I like to have a mixtures of activities to make the children's time more interesting although there are things which they enjoy which we do quite regularly.

Within the setting the children will enjoy

Playdough, Imaginative play, puzzles, games, peg boards, music time, dancing with lots of disco lights streamers ect:magnets, stampers(various)stencils, shape activities, weighing, numbers, tuff trays, junk modelling, stories, ipad, dressing up, construction activities, small world play, painting, yoga ect:

Garden play equipment

Trikes, bikes, scooters, rubber shapes, various stepping stones, parachute, bats, balls, water wall, slides, rockers, den building, bubbles, netball, tyes, 3 play houses, play kitchen, sand, water play trays, chalking ect:

Outings

Rhyme Time at the LIbrary, Library for books or events, buses, cinema, soft play with bouncy castle, feeding ducks, charity shops, walks, Cutslowe park, Childminders play and get together, the Community Cafe ran by special needs teenagers, parks, picnics, breakfast out, special events for children, observing the World around us. ect:

Government Funded Hrs

I do offer stretched funding, I  will also  be happy to add the extra hrs on, and divide them over the term to term to give you a fixed monthly amount, monies will always be a month in advance.

For funded hrs I will ask for a voluntary contribution for some trips out or some other activities or it would not be financially affordable for me to do them, however it will not effect your child from receiving good quality childcare following the EYFS Framework.

So what are the parents saying

We could not be happier with our childs progress and all the next steps.

We think the curriculum plan is great enhancing my child's education, while also enjoying fun and engaging activities.

I deffinetly feel like the setting is supportive of my child's independence and confidence, getting him ready for school.

If my child could come more than twice a week he would, as always asking to see you.

We find the termly reports beneficial for ourselves, these reports mean we can all be working and supporting our child to achieve her next steps at home and also with you.

Our child is making so much progress every single day, her speech and language has come on leaps and bounds.

My child is always excited and happy to attend your setting and will ask if its a nicki day.

We are extremely happy with the provision that you provide and are so happy with our child's progress since she started in your setting

Nikki has consistently demonstrated her ability to meet my child's development needs and has been instrumental in recognizing and working with his strengths and weaknesses.

One of the aspects I appreciate most about Nikki is her commitment to aligning her teaching methods with our family values. She reinforces the same principles we practice at home, creating a seamless educational experience for my child. This consistency has contributed significantly to his learning and development.

As a parent communicating regularly about my child's well-being is so important to me which Nikki is great at,including detailed updates on his food and fluid intake. Her transparency and willingness to engage with us about our child's needs are greatly valued, making us feel involved in his daily experiences.

Additionally, my child always looks forward to his time with Nikki. It is evident that she fosters a warm and nurturing environment that encourages him to explore and learn confidently. Her passion for childcare shines through in every interaction.

I wholeheartedly recommend Nikki as a childminder. She is truly dedicated to the children in her care and has made a positive impact on our family.
